The AM-1's two-way design features an inverted driver unit design, with a 25mm aluminum dome tweeter mounted below a fiberglass bass/midrange driver rather than above it. This ensures optimal sound dispersion when the speaker is mounted high on the wall. Bass reproduction is enhanced by a rear-mounted ABR (Alignment Enhanced Bass Resonance). Thanks to this ABR, rather than a conventional bass reflex port, the AM-1's bass response is exceptional for a speaker of this size. Furthermore, the AM-1's cabinet is sealed against all weather conditions. This combination of advanced driver units, unique configuration, and classically simple crossover components results in a loudspeaker that is as musical as it is flexible.
The AM-1 is specifically designed to be easy to install and exceptionally flexible. It can be positioned horizontally or vertically. With a rust-resistant aluminum grille and a rigid glass-filled plastic housing, the AM-1 can withstand extreme exposure to dust, moisture, and UV radiation. While clearly ideal for outdoor use, the AM-1 also performs exceptionally well in indoor communal spaces thanks to its discreet design and impressive performance.
