The reason to go for the HT/1205 is far from complicated. You want a little more "oomph," as the English so aptly put it. And the word says it all. You're looking for that extra bit of bass that an HT/1003 can't offer.

More Of Everything

That little bit extra does come at a price. Firstly, a bit more money. €200, to be precise. But you get a lot in return. Firstly, a built-in 5W Class-D NextGen500 amplifier. This is necessary to properly drive the 12” (30 cm) CarbonGlas™ driver.
Finally, it takes up a bit more space. It's 5 cm wider and deeper than its smaller sibling. But hey, with these dimensions, you can still call it compact.
