We're delighted to introduce our first entry-level console utilizing the unique dual-plinth technology developed by Music Hall. The mmf-3.3 embodies the culmination of over 30 years of research, development, and, above all, listening. This 3-speed belt-driven console is designed for those seeking a perfectly coordinated feature set with an uncompromising focus on sonic performance. Built using high-quality components, the 3.3 comes complete with a tonearm, cartridge, and dust cover.

Speed ​​Control

The 3.3 has a built-in electronic speed control for 33, 45, and 78 rpm. The platter speed switches from 33 to 45 rpm at the touch of a button. 78 rpm requires moving the belt to a different location on the motor pulley and using a different belt, which is included with the turntable.

Low-carbon with bonded aluminum headshell

This tonearm is unique to music hall tonearms. Bonding the alloy headshell to the carbon fiber arm tube stiffens and dampens the carbon fiber tube. This construction significantly improves the sound and performance compared to comparable one-piece carbon fiber tonearms. The alloy headshell allows you to securely mount the cartridge to the tonearm without the twisting and flexing common in lesser one-piece carbon fiber tonearms. Tonearms should not twist or flex, as this negatively impacts the cartridge and tonearm's ability to track the record groove properly. On many one-piece carbon fiber tonearms, you can literally pinch the cartridge end of the arm between your thumb and index finger and twist/flex the arm tube. Try this with the music hall tonearm, and the tonearm will remain stiff even if your fingers start to ache.

The arm itself is housed in a 4-point gimbal bearing construction with Swiss ABEC bearings. This is superior to many of the Music Hall's competitors, which use a lesser 2-point bearing system.
