The Concept 500 utilizes advanced, innovative technologies to deliver pure audio excellence and a sensational soundstage. Our floorstanding speakers combine low directivity with wide bandwidth, good sensitivity, and sensitive impedance, making them room-friendly and allowing amplifiers to deliver their best performance. The Concept 500 combines point-to-point (P2P™) bracing to address low-frequency panel vibrations with Helmholtz Pressure Equalizers (HPE™) to compensate for pressure irregularities. Another component that contributes to reduced vibration and coloration is the cabinet construction. Three separate layers are filled with a non-hardening gel, which dampens the cabinet walls and converts higher-frequency vibrations into heat.

Crossover
Great care has been taken in both the crossover design and the selection of high-quality components to introduce virtually no noise or distortion. The 4th-order Linkwitz-Riley topology
which provides excellent response both on and off-axis.
High-frequency driver of the Q Acoustics Q CONCEPT 500
Mechanically decoupled mounting that effectively isolates the HF driver and speaker cabinet from mutual vibrations that would otherwise be transmitted between them.
Cabinet reinforcement
A method known as P2P™ (Point to Point) bracing supports the areas of the cabinet that need bracing to absorb low-frequency panel vibration.
Mid/bass drivers
The Mid/Bass voice coil has an unusually large diameter of 35 mm, which allows for greater shove and higher power handling – while simultaneously reducing compression.

Terminals and back:
Access Panel – The rear access panel is designed to maintain the integrity of the Dual Gelcore™ cabinet. The Concept 500 is equipped for bi-wiring or bi-amping, with terminals that accept bare wire, spade terminals, or 4mm banana plugs.
Cabinet pedestal:
The Concept 500's cast aluminum base is designed without large flat surfaces or ornamentation to discourage unwanted acoustic reflections. The resulting elegant design is supported by a selection of carefully crafted feet to securely attach the speaker to any surface.
The Concept 500 is the embodiment of elegant design, compatible with a contemporary living space and not specific to any particular interior style. The appearance is understated for a clean look, with rear-mounted mid/bass drivers that keep the baffle clutter free and built-in magnets that secure the grille, leaving no fasteners visible.
Gloss black or gloss white finishes are each combined with Italian real wood veneer, chosen for its consistency in color and pattern. The veneer is used sparingly in a subtle strip, creating
The result is a cabinet that is visually light and sleek. The white gloss finish is attractively combined with light oak, and the black gloss with deep rosewood. Multiple layers of lacquer were then added to achieve a deep piano gloss finish.
