Our 3050i floorstanding speakers adopt design and engineering principles from the Concept 500s to deliver stunning sonic performance. They employ point-to-point (P2P™) bracing techniques to reduce cabinet resonance, resulting in cleaner sound and a more accurate imaging. This is combined with Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer (HPE™) technology to eliminate sympathetic resonance. The 3050i speakers feature precision 165mm and 22mm drivers. The 22mm decoupled high-frequency driver with a wide surround delivers broad and even stereo dispersion. The 3050i tweeters are decoupled from the baffle via a compatible suspension system. Vibrations from the woofer, which can affect the tweeter's performance, are isolated. This allows the tweeter to perform with significantly less interference.

The Q 3050i speakers feature a range of unique technologies including HPE™ and P2P™ to ensure these floorstanding speakers deliver truly exceptional sound.

HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) technology, designed to convert pressure into velocity and reduce the overall pressure gradient within the speaker enclosure, has been applied to the Q 3050i to reduce cabinet resonance. This technology is ideal for larger speakers that tend to resonate at a single, favored frequency. (**Q 3050i only)

Q Acoustics P2P™ (Point to Point) bracing across the 3000i Series supports the areas of the cabinet requiring bracing, making the cabinets exceptionally rigid, improving the focus of the stereo image and delivering a more precise soundstage than in previous series. (*Entire series)

The Q 3050i tweeters are decoupled from the baffle via a compatible suspension system. Vibrations from the woofer, which can affect the tweeter's performance, are isolated, allowing the tweeter to perform with significantly less interference.

Mid/bass driver

Whichever 3000i model you choose, the cone is precision-formed from impregnated and coated paper and combined with a newly developed low-hysteresis rubber surround. The coated paper cone offers the optimal balance between stiffness and self-damping, meaning it can accelerate without flexing and stop very precisely without unwanted resonance.

Beautiful inside and out

The Q 3050i boasts a completely new cabinet aesthetic and offers four new, contemporary finishes: Graphite Grey, English Walnut, Carbon Black, or Arctic White. All are finished with an attractive chrome trim around each driver and feature magnetic speaker grilles.

The Q 3050i incorporates low-profile binding posts with terminals deep enough to accept 4mm banana plugs. This floorstanding speaker can be placed very close to a rear wall, even when banana plugs are used instead of spade terminals or bare wire.
