Technics SU-G700M2E – Silver – Stereo Integrated Amplifier – Grand Class

About the Technics SU-G700M2E – Silver – Stereo Integrated Amplifier:

JENO Engine (Jitter Elimination and Noise-shaping Optimization)

To transmit the large amount of audio data reliably and losslessly to the speakers, the SU-G700M2 uses fully digital amplification with the JENO Engine, based on the design concept of the Reference systems. To address sound quality degradation caused by jitter, the SU-G700MXNUMX features an original jitter reduction circuit that eliminates jitter across the entire audio frequency range.

A unique high-precision conversion circuit is also used for PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) construction, which is crucial for sound quality. Thanks to optimizations of the noise-shaping speed, degree, and quantization number, data (even in the wide dynamic range from high-resolution audio sources) is converted to PWM signals without loss.

LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration)

Loudspeaker impedance changes with every frequency, and an amplifier must be able to drive speakers without being affected by their characteristics. Conventional digital amplifiers, however, are connected to the speakers via a low-pass filter at the output stage, meaning they are strongly influenced by the speaker's impedance characteristics.

Despite improving the amplitude characteristics of conventional amplifiers, improving the phase characteristics wasn't really possible. Therefore, a "speaker impedance adaptive optimization algorithm" was developed, which corrects for the ideal impulse response through digital signal processing by measuring the frequency amplitude-phase characteristics of the amplifier with connected speakers. This new technique allows for smoothing the frequency characteristics of amplitude and phase, something previously unattainable in other amplifiers, resulting in a rich and spacious sound.

Advanced Fast Power Delivery of the Technics SU-G700M2E – Silver – Stereo Integrated Amplifier

In a conventional switching power supply, the switching frequency changes in response to load fluctuations, allowing the circuit to be controlled in time to stabilize the output voltage. However, this fluctuating component in the switching frequency negatively impacts sound quality.

The newly developed power supply reduces noise that can be detrimental to sound quality by fixing the switching frequency. In addition, the final stage of the power supply is equipped with a linear regulator to stabilize the output voltage. This linear regulator uses custom-made high-definition electrolytic capacitors. Furthermore, our current (resonance-type) power supply reduces switching noise. The components used for sound absorption, such as capacitors, have been carefully selected. Every possible measure has been taken to achieve a low noise level and clear sound reproduction.

Three-piece construction

Integrated amplifiers contain a variety of circuits, including those that process micro-signals from inputs and those that process current, such as output circuits and power supply circuits. The Technics SU-G700M2 uses a three-piece construction with partitions installed between the circuit blocks, based on the signal level being processed. This eliminates interference between the circuit blocks, resulting in clear sound quality. In addition to the three-piece construction, the SU-G700M2 features a chassis consisting of two layers of 1,2mm and 2mm thick steel plates, a top panel made of 1,6mm steel plate, and a 7mm thick aluminum front panel for improved vibration damping.

Low-noise PHONO Input of the Technics SU-G700M2E – Silver – Stereo Integrated Amplifier

PHONO MC input is now supported. The PHONO input ensures low noise by utilizing a differential parallel connection configuration with a first-stage, low-noise FET. Furthermore, four-level gain adjustment allows you to select the best gain based on the cartridge output. This allows for optimal playback of high-grade analogue recorded sound sources, also tailored to the user's environment.

Class AA Headphone Amplifier

The Technics SU-G700M2 utilizes a Class AA headphone amplifier with separate circuits for voltage and current amplification of the audio signal. The voltage is amplified by a high-grade operational amplifier, the current is amplified by an operational amplifier with high current-supply capability, and the high-end PWM signal output from the JENO Engine is converted to analog with high precision, all of which provides an ideal foundation for headphone use. Music can be reproduced with low distortion and a wide frequency response, regardless of the headphone load impedance.
