Fully digital amplifier, JENO Engine (Jitter Elimination and Noise-shaping Optimization)

The SU-GX70 features a fully digital amplifier incorporating Technics' advanced digital audio technology, which digitally processes signals from input to output. This minimizes signal degradation caused by external noise, delivering precise, high-resolution sound while retaining the warmth of analog recordings. Furthermore, the JENO Engine in the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) reduces jitter, delivering crystal-clear TV audio.

Dual power supply.

The design of the power supply is crucial for audio systems with amplifiers, digital circuits, and other such components. To prevent adverse effects within the amplifier, the SU-GX70 is equipped with a dedicated power supply for the amplification circuits, operating independently of all other circuits. Therefore, the same electrolytic capacitors installed in high-end models are used in the dedicated power supply for the amplifier and its components.
The Technics SU-GX70 uses a high-speed switching power supply of approximately 130 kHz. By increasing the switching frequency, noise interference within the music playback bandwidth is reduced. This enables highly responsive power delivery for music signals and powerful speaker drive.

LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration)

Speaker impedance changes across frequencies, making it challenging for traditional amplifiers to deliver consistent sound quality. This problem is exacerbated with digital amplifiers due to the use of low-pass filters, which can further impact performance. To solve this, we developed an adaptive speaker impedance optimization algorithm. When you run the "LAPC" measurement process with your remote control, the technology measures the frequency and phase characteristics of the amplifier connected to your speakers and digitally corrects them in real time. The result is smoother, more balanced sound with improved spatial depth and clarity, giving you a richer listening experience.

Space Tune™ enhances your audio experience by optimizing the sound space for your specific listening environment. It offers four convenient presets—Free, Wall, Corner, and Shelf—so you can easily customize the settings to suit your room layout and installation location. For even more precise control, you can select "L/R Custom" in the Technics Audio Center app, which lets you fine-tune the sound based on your exact listening position, ensuring the best possible audio quality, wherever you are in the room.

High-quality audio via low-impact HDMI video output

To ensure the SU-GX70 delivers the best possible sound using HDMI ARC, video signals must be transmitted first, which can sometimes introduce noise. To prevent this, the SU-GX70 outputs video signals at a lower speed with pixel colors set to zero, reducing noise and protecting sound quality. Furthermore, signals from the TV are sent to the JENO Engine via the shortest possible route, minimizing jitter and ensuring crystal-clear sound. This unique approach from Panasonic/Technics as HDMI licensors ensures that you enjoy the highest sound quality with minimal interference.
